Dr. Kan was born and raised in Southern California and graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach. After high school she earned her Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from UCLA and graduated Cum Laude. She then moved to San Francisco and attended dental school at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) where she graduated at the top of her class. At UCSF she held an officer position in her class council for all four years as well as leading the American Society of Dentistry for Children. Having fallen in love with San Francisco, she stayed at UCSF and obtained her Orthodontic specialty training and a Masters of Science (M.S.) in Orofacial Science. Dr. Kan is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association. She shares with Dr. Lili the same cosmetic principles and techniques needed to achieve a great esthetic and functional orthodontic treatment results.
